Stephen Leicht, CitiFinancial Racing Phoenix Advance
Driver's Choice Press Release
Stephen Leicht

Phoenix International Raceway Fast Facts

No. 90 CitiFinancial Ford Fusion

Arizona Travel 200

NASCAR Busch Series

Saturday, November 10

LEICHT PHOENIX NOTES- In the last two NASCAR Busch Series events, Stephen Leicht has posted a 12th and 10th-place finish respectively. With momentum on his side, Leicht wishes the season was just beginning. The one time Ahwatukee, Ariz. native will revisit his roots this weekend making his 56th start as the NBS returns to Phoenix International Raceway for the Arizona Travel 200.

“I kind of wish there were more than two races left because the CitiFinancial Team is getting better every week, and we are starting to have better runs,” said Leicht. “When you pretty much have a Cup field in the Busch Series and finish 10th,like we did at Texas, that’s so much like finishing second or first. It gives the entire team so much momentum going into the next weekend.”

LEICHT PHOENIX QUOTES-

“I always enjoy racing at Phoenix International Raceway. It is such a unique track with two very different corners. One is very flat and wide and the other one is very sharp and has a lot of banking. There is also a little dog-leg on the backstretch. I like that the track has a lot of grip and I can run high or low if my car is handling well.”

TILL THE END- In three starts at the 1-mile raceway, Leicht has competed 600 of 603 laps (99.5%) and led eight laps.

POINTS REPORT- Leicht remains in the seventh position in the NASCAR Busch Series driver point standings after his 10th-place finish in Texas. With two races remaining in the 2007 season, he sits 239 markers behind fifth position.

CHASSIS INFO-
The CitiFinancial Team is taking chassis No. 18 to Phoenix. This is the same car that Leicht raced to a 21st-place finish in Richmond.

RACING FOR SHAKES- Shane “Shakes” Hakes, who served as a tire specialist on the No. 90 crew was critically injured in a motorcycle accident on July 15. Shakes was transferred to WakeMed in Raleigh, N.C. As he continues to recover, the CitiFinancial Racing Crew and the No. 90 CitiFinancial Ford will continue to carry the special “Racing for Shakes” logo.

Leicht’s NASCAR Busch Series Career Stats:

Starts: 55

Wins- 1 (Kentucky 07)

Top-fives- 2

Top-10’s: 7

Laps Led- 59
