DARNELL: Counts Texas as a Favorite Track

~TruckSeries.com Report

Erik Darnell will make his fourth NASCAR Craftsman Truck Series start at Texas Motor Speedway on Friday in the No. 99 Northern Tool + Equipment Ford F-150.

Darnell's No. 99 team enters Texas 11th in NASCAR Craftsman Truck Series points, just two markers out of 10th place.

The No. 99 team will be bringing chassis RK389-54 to Texas. This is a brand new chassis.

In 2007 Darnell has accrued one win (Kansas), three top-five and eight top-10 finishes.

ERIK DARNELL ON TEXAS MOTOR SPEEDWAY

"Texas is one of my favorite places to race. We had an engine failure there earlier in the year, but had it not been for that I think we would have been a contender for the win. We ran really well in the fall race at Texas last year, so hopefully we can repeat that this year."

MATT PUCCIA ON TEXAS MOTOR SPEEDWAY
. . .
"We're bringing a brand-new chassis to Texas this weekend. It looked really good in the wind tunnel, so we're excited to see what it can do on the racetrack. Had it not been for a part failure in Atlanta last weekend, I think we would have had a good finish. We'll look to make up for that this weekend."
