KVAPIL: Confident And Determined to Win at Martinsville
~TruckSeries.com Report

Series:  NASCAR Craftsman Truck Series (Race 21 of 25)
Track:  Martinsville Speedway (.526-mile oval)
Event: Kroger 200
Date: October 20, 2007, 3:00 PM EDT
Coverage: SPEED – 2:30 PM EDT
Distance: 200 laps/ 105.2 miles
Qualifying: October 20, 2007, 11:10 AM EDT
Chassis: RK330-45

Travis Kvapil will make his eighth career NASCAR Craftsman Truck Series start at Martinsville Speedway this Saturday in the No. 6 K&N Filters Ford F-150.

Kvapil enters Martinsville third in NASCAR Craftsman Truck Series points, 234 markers behind point leader Ron Hornaday, Jr.

The No. 6 K&N Filters team will be bringing chassis RK330-45 to Martinsville. This chassis last raced at Loudon, where Kvapil started third and finished 15th.

TRAVIS KVAPIL ON MARTINSVILLE: “I’ve come close to winning at Martinsville a couple of times in the Truck Series.  I grew up, like we all did, short track racing on the half-miles back home in late models.  I always feel comfortable going to Martinsville, it’s a demanding race and it’s very hard on equipment, but I feel it’s a race we have a chance to win.”

MIKE BEAM (CREW CHIEF) ON MARTINSVILLE: “Travis has always run well at Martinsville, so we’ll head there this weekend looking to win the race.  We had a strong truck in the spring, but we got caught behind when we decided to pit late in the race and the cautions kept coming.  We know that our chances for the championship are basically gone, so we’ll look to win as many races as we can in the final five of the season.”
