UPDATE: NASCAR announced that Drew Blickensderfer, crew chief for the #17 Ford driven by Matt Kenseth in the Busch Series, was fined $10,000 for violating Sections 12-4-A (actions detrimental to stock car racing), 12-4-Q (car, car parts, components and/or equipment used that do not conform to NASCAR rules) and 20A–12.8.1D (after competition, the right rear quarter panel height exceeded the maximum of 36 ˝ inches) of the 2007 Busch Series Rule Book. Additionally, Kenseth was penalized with the loss of 25 championship driver points and team owner Jack Roush was penalized with the loss of 25 championship owner points due to the same violations. The infractions were discovered during post-race inspection on Nov. 10 at Phoenix.(NASCAR PR)(11-13-2007)

I bet if it was Hendrick, they wouldn't have been penalized for a broken part.

Why do we have to deal with 4....YES 4...cup drivers in the Truck race this weekend?Huh?

Can't they just let the series finish out the season on it's own???  Why do they have to interfere?Huh?

Especially Kevin Harvick...he'll cause a problem that only Hornaday can survive...Just so the truck he owns wins the Championship.
What a crock.

The 4 are...Blaney, Harvick, Kyle Busch, and Scott Wimmer.
Jason Leffler is also entered, again.

Ford 300 - Matt Kenseth Notes

Matt Kenseth
NASCAR Busch Series: Ford 300
Saturday November 17
4:00 PM Eastern – ESPN2/MRN

Matt Kenseth
Team: No. 17 Dish Network Ford Fusion
Crew Chief: Drew Blickensderfer
Chassis: RK-360 Last ran Texas; finished fifth

Kenseth on racing in the Busch Series at Homestead-Miami Speedway:
"It’s been another good year in the Busch Series for us. Drew and the guys on the No. 17 team have given me great cars all season and have been a lot of fun to work with. We’ve been up front competing for the win multiple times this year, but seem to walk away with second place a little too much. Hopefully we can repeat what we did last year and pull off a win at Homestead.”

Crew Chief Drew Blickensderfer on racing at Homestead-Miami Speedway: “This whole team has worked really hard this season putting together competitive cars for Matt. The season started off well, but now we seem to be coming in second a lot. We are all tired of settling for second and really want to go out there and win the final race of the season. Matt won this race a year ago and we are bringing a strong car, so lets hope for the best and see what happens.”

Ford 300 - David Ragan Notes

David Ragan
NASCAR Busch Series: Ford 300
Saturday November 17
4:00 PM Eastern – ESPN2/MRN

David Ragan
Team: No. 6 Discount Tire Ford Fusion
Crew Chief: Mike Kelley
Chassis: RK-375 Last ran at Chicago, Jul. ’07; finished 19th
Ran at Las Vegas, Mar. ’07; finished 24th

Ragan on racing in the Busch Series at Homestead-Miami Speedway:“I have one race at Homestead under my belt and I look forward to the challenge it poses this weekend. It is a tough mile and a half race track with gradual banking. I am a little disappointed is our finishes the last couple of weeks, so I think we are due for a strong finish. I would like to cap off this season with a win and the Rookie-of-the-Year title. I know they are both within reach, I just have to do my part in making that dream a reality.”

Crew Chief Mike Kelley on racing at Homestead-Miami Speedway:“We want to finish the season strong. I think everybody on this team feels good about our chances this weekend. A top-five would be nice, but a win is the ultimate goal. We have been so close a few times this year, but haven’t gotten all the breaks needed to get to victory lane. I think our biggest achievement this year will be finishing in the top-five in points. There are a lot of quality race teams competing every week and to be among the elite is truly an honor. Everyone knows that we need a strong finish to validate that achievement.”
